Yes, you can book two or more huts together, subject to availability.

Yes, each hut has its own private hot tub on the decking, screened from neighbouring huts for privacy.

Yes, our hot tubs are available for year-round use.

The hot tub is cleaned after every guest stay and refilled with fresh water. For stays longer than two nights, we also clean and change the water on the third morning.

Yes, one 30-minute sauna session is included. Additional sessions can be booked for £20 each, and guests staying multiple nights receive one additional complimentary session for each extra night.

Sauna sessions can be booked using the calendar link we send you after booking your stay.

Please use the towels provided in your hut for your sauna session.

Yes, free parking is available. Please use the designated parking space just behind your hut.

Once you have booked, we’ll send you a full arrival guide with directions and everything you need to find us easily.

We don’t currently have EV charging points, but these will be available soon for an additional charge.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter is just 5.6 miles away, approximately a 12-minute drive.

Our nearest pub is approximately a 15-minute walk away.

Yes, there are local restaurants within approximately a 15-minute walk.

Yes, we’re surrounded by three lakes, nature reserves and the scenic Grand Union Canal, with some lovely walks directly from the site.

Yes. The nearest convenience stores are at the Esso garage and Tesco Express, with a larger Tesco supermarket approximately a 6-minute drive away

Yes, flowers can be pre-ordered and placed in your hut ready for your arrival.

Yes, we can arrange Prosecco or Champagne in your hut ready for arrival, presented with a personalised card and petals for an extra-special surprise.

Yes, if you’re planning a surprise, you’re welcome to arrive before your partner to decorate the hut. Please arrange this with us in advance.

Yes, paddleboards and kayaks are available to hire (please see our Add-ons page for details.)

Fishing is available along the Grand Union Canal with a valid fishing permit. The surrounding lakes are private and fishing is restricted to members.

Our two huts have unique designs. One has a clever pull-down wall bed, but both are the same size and offer the same amenities.

​Both huts enjoy premium, front-facing lake views from the hut and private hot tub.

Yes, both huts are heated and very comfortable for year-round stays.

Herons Haven has air conditioning. Robins Rest has additional windows, a fan and a low-level cool-air system.

Yes, all bedding is provided for your stay.

Yes, towels and dressing gowns are provided.

Yes, strong WiFi is available in and around each hut.

Yes, each hut has a TV with Netflix.

Yes, each hut has a compact, well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare a full meal.

Yes, complimentary tea and coffee are provided, along with a pod coffee machine and coffee pods in each hut.

Yes, each hut has its own outdoor fire pit/BBQ, with your first bucket of firewood provided free of charge.

Yes, BBQ cooking kits are available for £5 and include briquettes, kindling and firelighters.

Yes, additional large buckets of firewood are available for £10 per bucket.

Yes, each hut has its own combined fire pit and BBQ located on your private decking.

There is one covered dining pod shared between Herons Haven and Robins Rest.

Yes. Each hut has private outdoor seating on its decking, and the fully covered dining pod can be used for meals in wet weather.

Due to our close proximity to the lake and open water, our shepherd huts are for adults only.

As much as we love pets, unfortunately we’re unable to accommodate them at Lake View Retreats.

Yes, you’re welcome to arrive early, park your car and enjoy the surrounding walks, lakes and countryside. Your hut will be available from 3pm.

Sorry, parties are not permitted as we want to maintain the peaceful surroundings for all our guests.

Our huts are strictly non-smoking and non-vaping. Smoking and vaping are permitted outside on your private decking.

Being close to the lakes, midges are naturally present, particularly during warmer months, and are attracted to light. We recommend keeping doors closed when the lights are on, and we provide plug-in insect deterrents for the outdoor areas.

Yes, wildlife is a big part of Lake View Retreats. Regular visitors include geese, herons, muntjac deer, red kites and occasionally snowy egrets, along with many other birds and wildlife.

The lake and surrounding areas can be enjoyed safely, but as with any open water, care should always be taken around the water’s edge.

Due to our close proximity to the lake and other open water, Lake View Retreats is an adults-only site.

Yes, card payments are accepted for add-on extras, and you can also pay by bank transfer.

Yes, all available extras and experiences can be found on our Add-ons & Extras page and can be purchased during your stay.

Yes, we generally receive a good mobile signal across all major networks.

EV charging is not currently available, but we’re planning to have charging points installed by early 2027.
